Yo ho, Yo ho, A Pirate's Halloween
So fall is in full swing here in West By God, and I am having a blast. I have been spending a lot of time with my Grandma Margie. Usually its pretty fun, but sometimes the games she wants me to play seem more like work. Here's a game she made me play that she calls "Sweep the Floor."
Dad told her that child labor was against the law and she asked him, "What are you going to do, sue your own mother?" That pretty much ended that conversation.
Then, last weekend, my Uncle Michael came into town so we spent the weekend with him at Grandma Margie's and Grandpa Dean's. We carved pumpkins.
I wasn't quite sure what to make of them.
So I showed them how strong I was to scare them away.
We had a great time. Uncle Michael appreciates just how sly I am.
And, of course, everyone appreciates how cute I am.
So, the pumpkins were carved and Halloween arrived. I went as a pirate. A very dangerous pirate.
But a pirate's life isn't all fun and games. Sometimes we can be quite lonely and contemplative out at sea.
You may not know it, but I come from a long line of pirates.
Here I am trick-or-treating at my first house ever. I was hoping that they wouldn't have any candy because I have some great tricks up my sleeve, but they did have candy. Plus, they were so enchanted by how dangerous a pirate I was that they insisted on taking pictures of me.
So up and down the block we went, begging for candy and plundering every house we could find. Finally we got home.
And I figured out the perfect place to hide all the pirate booty that I had plundered from my neighbors.
For those of you for whom still photos are too subtle, here's how to hide pirate booty in video form:
All in all, I enjoyed this Halloween a lot more than last Halloween when Mom and Dad dressed me like a dragon and wouldn't let me take the nap that I wanted. After all, I was only six weeks old.

Hi Delia! You were the cutest pirate I've ever seen! I really think your dad just wants to dress up so he makes you dress up and then he steals your candy! ;-) Isn't that what pirates do??!! I hope you had fun! :-) Marty

Boy have we missed you! Our mommy hasn't let us on the computer...she's so busy working every day and night. She's been working so much her and Papa are going on a trip to the Atlanis resort on The Pampered Chef. And what do we get for our sacrifices (hanging out with the neighbors, ok not really sacrifices, but we won't tell mommy) we get to stay home with Grandma. WOOHOO, NOT!!
We ask Mommy all the time when you are going to move back. She keeps trying to say that you're not coming, but we don't believe her. Never believe everything your parents tell you. It's a conspiracy, we just know it!
We have some pics to send to you, so have your mom check her email. :) We miss you and love you tons!!
